Dr. Mahmood Alam
President, Aghosh Alkhidmat USA
Dr. Mahmood Alam, FACP, FACC is an accomplished Interventional Cardiologist,humanitarian, and community leader with more than three decades of service in medicineand nonprofit leadership. He currently serves as the President of Aghosh AlkhidmatUSA, leading transformative initiatives in healthcare, orphan care, education, disasterrelief, and community development.Dr. Alam is a Past President (2008) of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descentof North America (APPNA) and a recipient of the prestigious APPNA Gold MedalAward in recognition of his outstanding leadership and lifelong service to the Pakistani-American community.Throughout his career, he has remained actively involved with APPNA, HumanDevelopment Foundation, CAIR, ICNA, and numerous charitable and communityorganisations, promoting humanitarian relief, medical outreach, and interfaithcollaboration.Driven by compassion and a vision for sustainable impact, Dr. Alam continues to inspirevolunteers, physicians, and donors in advancing quality healthcare and humanitarianservices for underserved communities across the United States and Pakistan.
Shakur Alam
Founder & Former President, Aghosh Alkhidmat USA Board Member
Shakur Alam is a dedicated humanitarian and community leader with a lifelong commitment to education, philanthropy, and volunteer service. Following a distinguished professional career, he devoted himself to advancing humanitarian causes and empowering underserved communities.In 2019, he launched Karwan-e-Ilm, an educational initiative aimed at promoting learning and youth development in Pakistan. In 2020, he joined hands with Alkhidmat as a volunteer, supporting its nationwide humanitarian and development programs.Recognizing the need to engage the Pakistani-American community in meaningful charitable work, Mr. Alam founded Aghosh Alkhidmat USA, a registered nonprofit organization in the United States. As its Founder and Former President, he played a pivotal role in mobilizing humanitarian support for orphan care, healthcare, education, disaster relief, clean water, food security, and community development projects implemented by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.He also founded the Choti Choti Nekiyan Initiative, inspiring individuals and families to embrace regular and quick giving and small acts of kindness that create lasting social impact.Through visionary leadership and selfless volunteerism, Shakur Alam continues to inspire a culture of compassion, generosity, and service, strengthening the bond between the Pakistani diaspora and humanitarian efforts across Pakistan and beyond.
Syed Nasir Mahmood

Practicing as a pharmacist in New York since 1985, running his own business, Pine Plains Pharmacy in a small town of Pine Plains , Dutchess County. Involved with professional pharmacy organizations at state and federal levels and serve on their boards. Past president and chair of New York State Board of pharmacy and currently a member of the board. Also serve on the board of Council on American Islamic Relations, CAIR, New York. Serving on Aghosh Alkhidmat USA board as Vice President for the last few years .
Dr. Mohammad Rafiq Khayali
Dr. Mohammad Rafiq Khayali graduated from King Edward Medical College, Lahore, in 1970 and moved to the United States in 1972. He completed his residency in Neurology and established a successful medical practice in Hemet, California, where he served the community for many years.
Following a distinguished career in medicine, Dr. Khayali is now retired and resides in Yorba Linda, California. He remains committed to supporting humanitarian and charitable initiatives dedicated to improving lives and serving communities.
Muhammad T. Rahman
Member – Board of Director
Muhammad T. Rahman is a dedicated humanitarian and community leader with over four decades of service. Born in Bangladesh, he earned a Master's degree in Geology from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan, before immigrating to the United States in 1981.He is the Founder and former Executive Director of ICNA Relief, leading humanitarian and disaster relief efforts across more than 23 countries on five continents. He has also served as Secretary General of ICNA (2009–2015), Vice President of New York Interfaith Disaster Services (NYDIS), and held leadership positions with several educational, interfaith, and community organizations.Mr. Rahman remains actively engaged in humanitarian service, interfaith dialogue, and community development, continuing his lifelong commitment to serving humanity.
Dr. Ahmad Salam Khan

Dr. Ahmad Salam Khan serves as the Outreach Director for Aghosh Alkhidmat USA. A retired Air Commodore of the Pakistan Air Force, he completed a distinguished 40-year military career marked by strategic leadership, organizational excellence, and public service. Holding a PhD with advanced international studies, Dr. Khan brings over a decade of leadership and community engagement experience in the United States. He is committed to building meaningful partnerships, strengthening humanitarian initiatives, and advancing the mission of Aghosh Alkhidmat USA with integrity, vision, and compassion.

Amer Alam is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 30 years of experience providing accounting, taxation, and financial advisory services to individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations. Renowned for his integrity, professionalism, and strategic financial expertise, he has helped clients achieve financial stability and regulatory compliance. Alongside his professional career, Mr. Alam is actively involved in community service and supports various charitable and humanitarian initiatives, contributing his expertise to strengthen nonprofit organizations and advance their mission.
